ONBOARDING:

  • Pre-onboarding packets must be filled out prior to attending classes
  • Onboarding session required prior to attending classes

ONBOARDING DATES:

  • A required onboarding session for the summer class will be held on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, May 28, 29, and 30, 2019.
  • Summer classes will be offered from June 4 – June 27, 2019.
  • Pre-orientation packets must be picked up and filled out and returned to the PACE office no later than Wednesday, May 17, 2019.

ASSESSMENTS:

  • The TABE assessments are used for placement.

OFFICIAL TESTS:

  • HiSET
  • GED

NMSU-A offers GED® computer-based test and HISET paper-and-pencil-based test. PACE strongly encourages students to take an assessment test and PACE classes before signing up for the GED® or HISET test. When students are prepared to take the official test, they will be charged a $15.00 sitting fee per testing day which cannot be waived.

MANAGED ENROLLMENT:

The PACE program has managed enrollment. This means that no testing will be allowed while classes are in session and students may not join a class once the session has started (unless approved by the Director).

FEES:

There is a $15 annual registration fee to be paid during orientation. Proof of hardship will be required to waive fee.
