Transcripts
The NMSU-A Admissions & Records does not directly provide official transcripts. However, you can order an official transcript several ways. First of all, you can go online and order directly from the Transcript Ordering Center. You will need to create a username and password, which you can use in the future. As of June 2007, the cost of a transcript obtained in this way is $5.25. You will need to use a credit or debit card.
You can also send a letter to the Las Cruces Office of the Registrar requesting a transcript - you will need to provide your complete name, social security number, date of birth, last date of attendance, the name and address to where you want the transcript sent (if different from your own address). You need to sign the request with your complete name and send a check payable to NMSU for $3.00 for each transcript you order. Send your letter to: Office of the Registrar, New Mexico State University, P.O. Box 30001 MSC 3AR, Las Cruces, NM 88003.
In order to request an unofficial transcript, you can call the Las Cruces Office (575-646-3412) to pick up an unofficial transcript in person (you will need to show proof of identification when picking up the transcript). Or, you can fax a request to the NMSU at Las Cruces Registrar’s Office (575-646-1579). This request MUST include your signature, social security number, and the return fax number. An unofficial transcript will be faxed to the number provided.
If you have additional questions, please call the NMSU Las Cruces Registrar’s Office at (575) 646-3411.
