Basic Eligibility Requirements: The Financial Aid Office provides information for work-study positions on and off campus. Students must have a completed financial aid file, a 2.0 continuing GPA, and be enrolled at least half-time each semester to be eligible for work-study. First semester Freshmen must have a 3.0 high school GPA, and GED recipients must establish a college GPA.
For Current Work-Study Positions : Please log into “Aggie Career Manager.” This is a new way to find active and available Work-Study jobs.
Creating a student account with career services;
Step 1: Go to the Career Services home page: http://nmsua.edu/career. In the Pages Block, click on “Aggie Career Manger – Student” and then again click the link entitled “Aggie Career Manger.”
Step 2: If you are a registered user, simply type your username and password, then click “Login”. If you are a new registrant, proceed to “Click here to Register”.
Step 3: Fill out your profile. USE YOUR BANNER ID NUMBER AS YOUR LOGIN NAME. Towards the end of your profile you will see a highlighted section labeled VERY IMPORTANT, you will follow the instructions to sign your registration agreement. After signed the document through your my.nmsu account, return to the Aggie Track to finish your registration by ckicking on the “Register” button.
Step 4: Scroll over “My Account” then “My Documents” and upload your default resume and your Award Letter.
Step 5: Upload your “Award Letter” by logging into your my.nmsu.edu and navigating to the Award Overview Tab within the Student Financial Aid tab. Capture the award letter screen shot (Control+Print Screen) and paste it into an open a word processing document (MS Word). You then upload that document into Aggie Track. To create a resume, click on the Resources tab and select Optimal Resume. If you need assistance with your resume or award letter, please contact Career Services at the Advising Center.
Step 6: Click on Job Posting and Select “Work-Study Jobs” to view posted Work-Study positions. Enter Alamogordo into the Job Location box to filter jobs for this campus.
