Caravan to White Sands Missile Range
On Friday evening, Professor Pete Eidenbach will discuss the local western fiction of Eugene Manlove Rhodes and his research into the literary history of Rhodes’ major works. Gene Rhodes captured life in our region at the turn of the 20th century and his fiction demonstrates the literate traditions of the western frontier. The lecture provides a good introduction for those traveling to the Rhodes gravesite the following day. Friday night lecture-$15.
At the gravesite on Saturday, Dr. David Townsend, Pete Eidenbach, and Parry Larson will present a program on Rhodes beginning at 1:00 pm.
