Time: 8:30am-6pm with two days adjusted to include evening sessions until 9pm

Wilderness First Responder and EMT is certified through Wilderness Medical Associates International. Wilderness EMT builds on the EMS professionals’ training to meet the challenges of unconventional settings. It is designed for EMS personnel working in search and rescue, disaster response, remote job posts, and expeditions. The curriculum emphasizes wilderness medical protocols, appropriate technology, prolonged patient care, and leadership in managing field emergencies.
Prerequisite: Current certification and license as First Responder, EMT Basic or Intermediate, or Paramedic. (Five day course – eight hour days)
