DUTIES: Conducts fuel loading inventories, fights wildland fires, participates in prescribed fire or hazard fuel reduction projects, and works on restoration projects.
QUALIFICATIONS: Completion of two academic years of post-high school study or associate’s degree with 12 semester hours of coursework appropriate to the position to be filled
OR Six months of general experience and six months of specialized experience
LOCATION: Salt Flat, TX or Carlsbad, NM
BENEFITS: Employees earn 4 hours of sick leave and 4 hours of annual leave per pay period (every 2 weeks).
WORK SCHEDULE: Employees work 40 hours per week. Most schedules include weekends, holidays, and evening hours.

OCCAAA Intern Position
Otero County Council on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (OCCAAA) has an intern position. This position would be for a sales associate currently enrolled as a student in the
business, social work or psychology field. Specifically, the student would
operate independantly after a training period in a small consignment store
owned by the OCCAAA. The job responsibilities would include sales,
receiving/inventory/catalogue and displaying merchandise as well as light
cleaning. The person’s responsibilities would also include supervising
clients that are also training to re-enter the work environment while in
residential treatment.

NM Museum of Space History
The NM Museum of Space History is looking for an educational staff member for their summer Space Academy. The individual would work approximately 15-20 hours a week until mid/late May and then 40 hours per week through the summer.
