Education:  College degree.

Experience:

  • One to three years of Executive Assistant experience.
  • Travel coordinating experience is also preferred.
  • Requires a valid driver’s license, and must own a car with proof of current auto insurance.  Driving record will be checked and must consistently meet the standards as defined by the Company.
  • Must have excellent communication and computer skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, internet research and knowledge of pop culture and movies a plus.
  • Cooperative attitude, sound judgment, flexibility, resourcefulness and the ability to ensure strict confidentiality of information.
  • High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations; position continually requires poise, tact, and diplomacy
  • Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task.  Organizational skills a must.

DUTIES:
  • Assists the SVP, Programming with all assistant related duties.
  • Assist Executive Producers with travel coordination as required by the production department.
  • Responsible for the pick-up and delivery of business related items and/or ReelzChannel talent, utilizing the use of personal vehicle.
  • Work in a team environment cooperatively and collaboratively with a variety of people.   Builds working relationships with co-workers, customers, vendors and the general public.
  • Act in a professional manner when representing ReelzChannel.
  • Reports to work on time and works established schedule/hours. Ability to work other hours or alternate schedules as needed.

Performs other reasonable and relevant activities and functions as requested and required.

QUALIFICATIONS:
At least one year of experience in broadcast Master Control or strong proficiency with technical systems. Working knowledge of a wide variety of audio and video equipment.  Knowledge of FCC requirements in a broadcast facility. Ability to handle on-air switching of program materials utilizing manual and computerized systems. Good concentration to maintain flow and accurate timing of on-air programming.  Ability to work efficiently under pressure and handle technical difficulties in a calm manner.  Reliability, quick thinking, strong technical skills, and common sense are critical to success in this position.
DUTIES:
Responsibilities will include, but not limited to: Coordinates and monitors the video and audio portions of on-air programming.  Maintains station log to ensure the station’s output meets FCC technical requirements.  Sets up and cues videotapes and programs on video servers for smooth transitions from program to commercial to station break. Controls program flow and timing.  Adjusts video and audio levels.  Operate video servers and computerized control systems as required. This is a fill-in position. Hours and shifts will vary (including holidays, weekends, and overnight.)

We’re looking for a motivated, dynamic and versatile Assignment Editor. The position requires one year experience in a network-affiliated newsroom.  A journalism degree helpful, but not required. To qualify for this opportunity you must have news judgment and be able to discern a good story opportunity when you see it.  Must have excellent communication skills and proven abilities in news gathering, research and documentation. Intense multitasking and organizational skills are a must.  The successful candidate will be able to think on his/her feet and make quick decisions. Must be able to work well independently and as part of a news team with good people skills. Some knowledge of social media is helpful. Must have a valid driver’s license to operate company vehicles.


DUTIES:


Under supervision of the Assignment Manager, the Assignment Editor responsibilities will include, but not limited to: Coordinating news coverage elements for news programs, listening to scanners, answering phones, calling sources, reviewing e-mails and social media streams.  Instruct and assign news crews and monitor progress.   Document and research information using all available sources of story development.  Review news clippings, releases, newspapers, and news wires.  Maintain daily assignment cards and type up story assignments.  Travel to public buildings to check court and law enforcement records. Other duties as assigned.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
The following physical requirements are typical, but not all-inclusive: Work is 50% sedentary, but does require driving and ability to move around facility.  Manual dexterity to operate computer and other equipment.  Light lifting and carrying of record material.  Sight and hearing to review news clips, monitor scanners, handle telephone calls and operate company vehicles.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE PROGRAM: The Student Educational Employment Program provides Federal employment opportunities to students who are enrolled or accepted for enrollment as degree seeking students taking at least a half-time academic, technical, or vocational course load in an accredited high school, technical, vocational, 2 or 4 year college or university, graduate or professional school. The STEP provides maximum flexibility to both students and managers because the nature of the work does not have to be related to the student’s academic or career goals.

DUTY LOCATION: White Sands Missile Range, N.M. Located 30 miles east of Las Cruces, New Mexico and 45 miles north of El Paso, Texas.

WHO MAY APPLY: US CITIZENS who are 16 years old and older and at least part-time students

STEP REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must be enrolled or accepted for enrollment and seeking a degree (diploma, certificate, etc) and attending at least half-time in a high school, technical/vocational school, or college or university.

QUALIFICATIONS:

CLERK:
GS-02: Three months of general experience, or a high school graduate or equivalent, or a combination of experience and education.
GS-03: Six months of general experience or high school graduate plus 1 year of higher education, or a combination of experience and education.
GS-04: One year of general experience equivalent to the next lower grade, or 2 years of higher education above High School or a combination of experience and education.

ENGINEERING AID:
GS-02: Three months general experience, or a high school graduate or equivalent, or a combination of experience and education
GS-03: Successfully completed one year of post secondary study to include at least 6 semester hours in any combination of courses such as engineering, engineering or industrial technology, construction, physics, drafting, surveying, physical science, or mathematics.
GS-04: Successfully completed two years of post secondary study to include at least 12 semester hours in any combination of courses such as those shown above for GS-3 (or equivalent). At least 3 of the 12 semester hours must have been in drafting if the position has been designated by a drafting area of specialization.

LABORER:
Ability to do the work of Laborer without more than normal supervision; work practices include keeping things neat, clean and in order. Ability to interpret instructions and specification (other than blueprints); ablility to use and maintain tools and equipment. Must be able to stand for long periods of time; recurring activities such as bending, crouching, stooping, stretching and reaching. Work requires standing, stooping, bending, climbing, crawling, and kneeling for extended periods in uncomfortable positions. Worker may lift and move materials weighing up to 40 pounds and, occasionally heavier items with assistance.
