Heart of the Desert – Office Assistant
Job Summary:
- Provide exceptional customer service to customers, data entry, and perform diverse clerical duties as assigned.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage revenue including cash handling and daily deposit reconciliation
- Check orders of Office Associates prior to sending to shipping department
- Answer telephone and provide information/assistance and technical support
- Greet visitors to the office and assist them with their domestic and international orders/shipments
- Daily computer data entry and computer file maintenance
- Compose and type routine correspondence
- Accounts Receivable
- Maintain efficient work flow to various departments
- Mentor seasonal staff
- Perform other related duties as required.
- Back-up to Office Manager in his/her absence from Office
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to assist customers with inquiries and concerns in a professional and friendly manner both on the telephone and in person
- Knowledge of modern office procedures and methods including telephone communications, office systems, and record keeping
- Must be detailed oriented and able to effectively multi-task
- Skill to use a personal computer and various software packages
- Internet navigation skills preferred
- Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives with minimal supervision
- Ability to handle and resolve problems
- Proficient in data entry
Special Requirements:
- Willing to work overtime, and weekends the last quarter of the year as requested
- Eager to work in a team related atmosphere
- Maintain, encourage and possess “ownership and responsibility mentality”
- Willing to adapt and improvise
