Targa is currently seeking a Maintenance Planner/Scheduler for their Eunice Plant located in Eunice, NM.
Job Responsibilities
Reviews work orders for each significant piece of information
Assign work orders needing planning and material to planning backlog
Assure work order has approval and authority
Prepare daily schedule for maintenance supervisor
Enter work orders into Maximo to accept charges and close when complete
Facilitate maintenance activity with production
Maintain integrity of PM program, i.e., checklist, trigger, frequency, compliance, and schedules utilizing Maximo
Establish and maintain equipment parts catalog, equipment history, storeroom, min/max levels
Compile weekly compliance reports
Coordinate with central shops/project schedules
Review actual vs. plan on completed work orders
Identify recurring maintenance problems
Maintain maintenance key performance indicators for department
Minimum Essential Qualifications
Interpersonal communication skills are required in order to interface with all affected teams, personnel, and vendors.
Must work with a minimum of supervision and be able to manage their time when given multiple tasks.
Associate’s degree in mechanical technology or equivalent experience maintaining mechanical equipment and facility components typically utilized in natural gas processing.
Minimum of 2 years maintenance experience in gas processing facility.
Ability to lift or push a minimum of 75 pounds.
Basic job related computer skills (Microsoft Office, Outlook, Maximo).
Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills that establish a supportive climate in work place
Ability to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and able to respond to call outs as needed to fulfill business objective and the ability to work shifts for plant conditions
Preferred Qualifications
• 5 years experience operating and maintaining mechanical equipment and processes listed under job duties.

Job Duties / Responsibilities
Targa is currently seeking a Maintenance Planner/Scheduler for our Eunice Plant located in Eunice, NM.
This position will have shared responsibility for the maintenance and upkeep on all instrumentation and electrical equipment associated with plant processing equipment including but not limited to exchangers, pumps, fans, pipe, meters and other equipment. Duties include:
Troubleshoot, calibrate, repair, tune, configure and install electronic I/P converters, positioners, transmitters etc.
Install, maintain, and program GE plc, Allen Bradley plc, and Wonder ware HMI systems.
Troubleshoot, repair, and install compressor panel boards.
Install and maintain process control and data gathering systems.
Attend safety meetings and work safely.
Review and organize material inventory by examining stock to verify conformance to specification; count and sort incoming articles, compile reports on inventory and recommend to supervision ordering of replacement and additions.
Diagnose routine and non-routine equipment malfunction by observing operation, listening, and using diagnostic equipment to locate causes of trouble.
Train co-workers in safe and proper job procedures.
Recognize danger signals from equipment indicating a need for emergency procedures, which include the shutdown of equipment.
Read and prepare piping and instrumentation diagrams (P.&I.D.).
Minimum Essential Qualifications
Knowledge of PSM and mechanical drawings, maintenance records, maintenance procedures, equipment drawings, and maintenance manuals.
Knowledge of all safety aspects of electrical troubleshooting and maintenance, including compliance with OSHA 1910.
Working knowledge of diagnostic tools used on the I&E equipment mentioned above.
Advanced computer skills (Excel, Access, Word) and networking experience.
High school diploma or GED required.
Valid driver license required.
Must be able to lift, push, and pull 75 pounds.
Must be able to work in close quarters, work while kneeling, squatting, sitting, climbing, and standing.
Must be able to work in a self-directed work team.
Outdoor and indoor working conditions (may include some weekend, night time and/or inclement weather)
Preferred Qualifications
Associate’s degree in instrumentation / electrical technology or equivalent experience (5 years) maintaining instrumentation and electrical systems typically utilized in natural gas processing.
Has a good understanding of utilizing horsepower and compression.
Able to troubleshoot equipment failures.
Plant Operation experience
Completion of advanced mechanical training or certificates, or equivalent experience (2+ years) maintaining compressor, engine and related equipment.

· Perform pipeline locates and monitor work of contractors and pipeline companies working around Targa pipelines and right-of-ways
· Perform repairs on steel pipelines and polyethylene pipelines
· Perform pipeline inserts (polyethylene pipe inside deteriorated steel pipeline)
· Monitor pipeline line codes for losses (leaks)
· Perform operations and maintenance on O2 analyzers
· Able to work in an H2S environment wearing SCBA equipment

Targa is currently seeking an Operations Technician for their facility located in Monument, NM.

 

Facility Information: Monument Plant is a DOT facility located 18 miles southwest of Hobbs, New Mexico. The facility is a 85 MMcfd cryogenic plant with amine treating and sulfur recovery. The field gathering system is approximately 700 miles in length, with three (3) field compressor stations.

Operations personnel work 84 hours every 2 weeks on a 12 hr shift rotation schedule with 7 days off once a month.

 

Job Responsibilities

·         Responsible for a safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the following processes

o    NGL extraction via cryogenic turbo expander process

o    2 cycle and 4 cycle engines and compressors (also includes electric motor driven compressors)

o    Gas and liquid treating via amine solution

o    Iron sponge treating

o    Sulfur Recovery Unit

o    Pumps – centrifugal and positive displacement

o    Utility generation – steam, cooling tower, cooling water, electrical generation, purchase power, etc.

·         Perform routine startup and shutdown of individual equipment and processes

·         Monitor process variables and conditions

·         Adjust process variable and conditions using a GE PLC with Wonderware MMI system

·         Monitor usage of utilities, fuel, chemicals, lube oils, etc to prevent excessive consumption at current processing and production rates

·         Monitor and recognize dangerous and or emergency conditions within the process and performs procedures necessary to remove the condition or shutdown the process / facility in order to protect personnel and equipment

·         Recognize malfunctions in individual equipment and performs minor maintenance as necessary to correct problems

·         Monitor levels of lubricants, fluids, chemicals, etc. and refills as necessary to prevent damage to equipment

·         Write work orders using MAXIMO for routine and major maintenance that cannot be handled as part of normal operations

·         Read, calculate, and / or estimate process flow rates, volumes, and prepare operational logs and reports i.e. PPR

·         Participates in preparation of operating procedures and training of peers in safe and efficient operating practices

·         Perform other work related duties as assigned Technician operates plant facilities and equipment/systems which include:

·         Responsibilities also include various environmental reporting and monitoring for compliance.

·         When not operating, may perform various utility duties which may include general maintenance work, instrumentation work, and other duties, as needed.

Minimum Essential Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Valid driver license required.
  • Must be able to lift, push, and pull 75 pounds.
  • Must be able to work in close quarters, work while kneeling, squatting, sitting, climbing, and standing.
  • Basic job related computer skills required, including Microsoft Office.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree or completion of technical school training curriculum
  • Self-motivated, self-starter with ability to learn quickly and apply knowledge for troubleshooting purposes
  • Knowledge and understanding of natural gas processing. Five years of experience operating mechanical equipment and processes listed under job duties
  • Certification as an operator under process safety management
