Holiday Jazz Band Concert
November 23, 2009
A Holiday Jazz Concert is scheduled on Friday, December 4 at 6:30 PM at the Tays Special Events Center. Holiday music (White Christmas, I’ll Be Home For Christmas and more) will be performed. Cost is $4 per person or $10 per family.
Fall Student Art Show
November 23, 2009
On Thursday December 3rd from 4:00 – 7:00 pm, NMSU-A will host its annual Student Art Show, featuring student work from fine art, ceramics, photography, digital graphics, and animation programs.
There will be a Raku firing (ceramic art) demonstration on the patio of the Henry Campbell Art Building during the hours of the show.
Light refreshments will be available.

NMSU-A University Singers’ Concert
November 19, 2009
The University Singers’ Holiday Concert is scheduled for Saturday, December 5, 2009, at the Rohovec Fine Arts Center at 7:00 PM.
The Alamogordo High School Choir will perform as special guests. Several University Singers will perform special music as well as our beautiful choral numbers sung by the entire choir. Come enjoy an evening of fun and entertainment where a wide range of up-beat music is served up for all ages.
Admission is $4 per person and $10 per family.
Final Weekend: THE DIARY OF ANNE FRANK

This is the final weekend for the NMSU Alamogordo Theatre production of THE DIARY OF ANNE FRANK at the Rohovec Fine Arts Center on the NMSU-A campus.
- Friday night, Nov. 20, at 7:30 pm
- Saturday night, Nov. 21, at 7:30 pm
- Sunday afternoon, Nov. 22 at 2 pm
Advance tIckets are available at The Blue Stone (on White Sands Blvd.) and TLC Portraits (in the White Sands Mall); tickets will also be available at the theatre box office the date of each performance.

Student Services Closed 11/23

Student Services offices, including Admissions, Advising, Financial Aid, Recruiter, Retention and Student Success, and the Office of the Vice President for Student Services will be closed on Monday, November 23 for an annual staff meeting.
The offices will reopen on Tuesday, November 24 at 8:00 AM.
11th Adult Spelling Bee
November 9, 2009
It’s time for the 11th annual Adult Spelling Bee! Get two others together and come join in the fun. Dress up if you’d like and bring cheerleaders. Practice guides are available to each team member. Winners will be awarded the travel trophy for a year. The deadline for registration is Monday, November 16, 2009. Call 439-3812 for more information.

Masters in Educational Administration Forum

The Department of Education Management and Development at NMSU will be holding an open forum to discuss and share information about the Masters in Educational Administration distance education program, on Wednesday, November 18, 2009, at 5:30 pm in the Townsend Library on the Alamogordo campus.
This program offers weekend distance-delivered course instruction. Distance-delivered online learning will involve 2-way video instruction at sites located throughout New Mexico, participating in online chats, posting materials to online bulletin boards, and working with other students on projects.

NMSU-A Theatre: THE DIARY OF ANNE FRANK

New Mexico State University Alamogordo Theatre will present the classic drama, THE DIARY OF ANNE FRANK, on November 13, 14, 20, 21, and 22 at the Rohovec Fine Arts Center on the NMSU-A Campus. The curtain goes up at 7:30 pm on Friday and Saturday evenings, and the November 22 matinee starts at 2 pm.
Admission is $8 for adults and high school students, and $4 for children (the show is suitable for ages 8 and up). Advance tickets are available at TLC Portraits and The Blue Stone. Donate Blood, Win a Harley!

United Blood Services will conduct a blood drive on Thursday, November 5 from 10 AM to 2 PM in the Glass House. Appointments can be made by calling 575-439-3716. The blood drive is sponsored by NMSU Student Government.
When you donate, United Blood Services will automatically enter you to win a Harley Davidson Sportster, among other great prizes.
