Join us for a One City, One Book Discussion Group!

admin | October 3, 2011

On Wednesday, October 12th, at the NMSU-A Townsend Library from 6:00-8:00 PM, please join us for a One City, One Book Discussion Group! The premise behind One City, One Book is, “What if everyone in a community read the same book and discussed it?” It was started in 1998 by Nancy Pearl at the Seattle Public Library.

Led by our very own Wanda Wakkinen, Communications, and Bill Lockhart, Sociology!

The book that is being discussed: Michael McGarrity’s book, Tularosa, that is set primarily in the Tularosa Basin!
Michael McGarrity is the author of the acclaimed, best-selling crime novels featuring detective Kevin Kerney. McGarrity received the New Mexico Governor’s Award for Excellence in the Arts-Humanities in 2004. He has graced the Flickinger stage several times and is supportive of beginning writers.

If you’ve read the book, come and discuss. If you haven’t read the book, come and listen!

We hope to see you there!
