NMSU-A Hosts the NMSU Board of Regents
NMSU-A hosted a reception for the NMSU Board of Regents Sunday evening, October 9 at the Tays Center. To view more pictures from this event, please check out the NMSU-A Flickr photo set here. Monday morning, October 10, the Regents held a series of meetings, beginning with a breakfast meeting at 7:30 am in CB 201, followed by an Executive session at 9:00 am. At 10:00 am, the NMSU Board of Regents met in open session at the Rohovec Fine Arts Center. The Open Session agenda included discussion of an upgraded dining services plan, enrollment updates at the Las Cruces campus, and a report from NMSU-A’s President, Cheri Jimeno.
President Jimeno discussed updates from the Alamogordo campus including an HSI STEM Grant for Strengthening Science, Engineering, and Energy Career Options, their completion programs with the Las Cruces campus, and enrollment. She also presented the Regents with the LEED Gold Certification for NMSU Alamogordo’s Advanced Technology Center, the second building project on the NMSU-A campus to be certified LEED Gold by the U.S. Green Building Council.
