There will be Town Hall Chat on Tuesday March 13, 2012 at 11:00 AM on the patio. This event will be held in conjunction with SVAA, Student Government, PTK, and ACE. It is also a free BBQ for all students. The topic of this Town Hall Chat will be the Online Task Force, and Dr. Hill is the guest speaker.
We invite all students to attend this free event to learn more about the Online Task Force and to get all your questions answered.
The Student Veterans of America-Alamogordo (SVAA) will be taking donations for the Wounded Warrior Project during this event.

Are you close to meeting the requirements for your Certificate? The deadline for Certificate applications is March 2nd.
It’s not too late to apply for your degree. The final deadline for Degree applications is March 2nd. Late fees apply for Degree applications.

For maximum financial aid eligibility, the recommended deadline for filing the 2012-2013 Free Application for Student Financial Aid (FAFSA) is March 1st.
Regulations have changed beginning with the 2012-2013 aid year. You are strongly encouraged to use the IRS Data Retrieval to access your 2011 tax information. Otherwise, it may be necessary for you to request a tax transcript from the IRS to complete the verification process. This will cause delays.

Reminder: The Scholar Dollar Application Deadline is also March 1. This one application can be used to apply for all NMSU scholarships and several NMSU-A scholarships.
The Scholar Dollars general scholarship application is now available for students to fill out at http://scholarships.nmsu.edu. This single application covers several NMSU-Alamogordo scholarships, as well as Main Campus scholarships for those students that are planning to transfer in the Fall or Spring.
Please take advantage of this opportunity to apply for many scholarships at once! The deadline is March 1, 2012.
Note: Students must have submitted an application for the Summer 2011, Fall 2011 or Spring 2012 semesters to participate in the graduation ceremony. The deadline for Late Applications for Spring 2012 is March 2. Apply online at my.nmsu.edu.
The Thirty-Fifth Annual Graduation Ceremony will be held on Friday, May 11, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. at the Tays Center. Please let us know if you plan to attend the graduation ceremony so we can reserve your seat.
Important: The name on your diploma will appear as last updated on your academic records. To make a change, please provide the required documentation to the Admissions Department by March 2, 2012.

NMSU-A is currently seeking a new Vice President for Student Success. We invited the community, faculty, staff and students to view the agenda and resumes for each candiate.
