Pink Week at NMSU Alamogordo

NMSU-A Web Developer | October 4, 2013

Monday, October 14th through Thursday, October 17th is “Pink Week” at New Mexico State University at Alamogordo.  During “Pink Week” we celebrate those who have survived breast cancer, support those who are currently fighting the disease, and remember those who have lost the battle.  Our campus joins the “Pink Week” campaign because we believe that education is imperative for prevention and early diagnosis of breast cancer.

During “Pink Week” all NMSU-Alamogordo students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to wear pink every day to show their support.  To highlight the week, there will be “Pink on the Patio” (A PINK PARTY!) Thursday, October 17th, from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm.   There will be music, free popcorn, soft drinks, & giveaways.  So be “Pink Proud” (this includes men because breast cancer has no gender preference.)

NMSU-Alamogordo challenges the campus and the community to support this important cause and recognize those who have been touched by this disease.  The goal of “Pink Week” is to pay tribute to this important cause.
