I received my Bachelors from the University of Washington and my Masters in Educational Counseling from Azusa Pacific University in California. I have been providing college and career awareness to youth for about 7 years. Now as an academic advisor, I am glad to work for NMSU-Alamogordo and help students reach their college and career goals. Attending satellite campuses myself, I feel some of the great benefits of attending NMSU-A are the small classes and the rapport one is able to build with the instructors. I believe the experience helps build a strong educational foundation for all NMSU-A students.
Jason Brockett was born in Los Angeles but has called southern New Mexico his home for some time. An NMSU Alum with a BA in Communication Studies and a minor in Digital Film Making, Jason had previously worked in commercial radio for the past 13 years before joining the NMSU-A family as Academic Advisor & Career Counselor on June 1st. Currently, Jason is pursuing his Master of Humanities with an emphasis in Film Studies, albeit balancing life as a father and husband. He’s a true Aggie who enjoys watching the University of New Mexico Lobos fail at everything they do. Go AGGIES!
