Matthew Placencio received his Electronics Technology Network Specialist Certificate (2002)  and Associate of Applied Science (2003) from New Mexico State University at Alamogordo.  He received his Bachelor of Information and Communication Technology (2007) from New Mexico State University.  He was awarded the Outstanding Alumnus Award from NMSU-A in May 2007.  He began teaching at NMSU-A in fall 2005 as a part-time instructor and became full-time in fall 2007.
