Scholarships

Application due Nov. 15

Undergraduate female students who are the primary wage earner/source of financial support for their families (including children, spouse, siblings and/or parents) are encouraged to apply for the Live Your Dream Award given by Soroptimist International of Las Cruces. Students from the Las Cruces campus as well as branch campuses may apply.

The $1,000 award can be used for tuition, books, transportation, childcare or any other expense associated with attaining an undergraduate degree. The local winner will then be eligible for awards of $5,000 at the district level and $10,000 at the national level.

Applications are available at http://www.soroptimist.org/awards/live-your-dream-awards.html. The application form and two reference forms must be submitted by 5 p.m. on Nov. 15.

Completed applications can be dropped off at Gerald Thomas Hall, Room 308, on the NMSU Las Cruces campus (not open on weekends) or submitted as an attachment by email to eDevall@nmsu.edu. Applications can also be mailed to:

This scholarship is designed to help the students in multiple areas. This website is about market research and market news. We would love to offer a yearly scholarship of $1000 and $500 to the right candidates.

Here is a brief list of the requirements:

    Before 30th June 2017 for fall 2017 and October 30th, 2017 for spring 2018 scholarship (also every year).

    Students from High school, Undergraduate, Master Degree, PhD. and adult learners are all also eligible to apply for this essay scholarship. (Must be from USA or Canada universities)
  • How to Apply:
    Write an essay about any of these three topics:
    1. How has technology changed the face of market research through the years?
    2. The Impact of Online Market Research on Society.
    3. Identify two poor market research techniques, and suggest how they could be improved?

It should be minimum 1,000 words long. Use facts, medical advice, products, references – whatever you need to create a useful text.

Women are underrepresented in some of the highest paying jobs in America. Specifically jobs in the fields of science, technology, engineering and math. Because of this, we’re again launching our annual Women in STEM scholarship competition to help current or college-bound women perusing STEM degrees. We’re offering two scholarship awards of $2,500 which will be given to two deserving women to put towards their college education.

A local Las Vegas carpet cleaning company wants to support students globally – apply for the scholarship and you may win this year’s $1,000 award.

Green Way Carpet Cleaning has one passion – to make people’s homes clean and cozy. We’re inviting all students with passion for home decoration to share their ideas with us – the best essay will be published on our website and the winner will receive the award via check. This year topic is “Clean home – clean life”. We want you to explain us how do you feel clean home helps you with your daily life, makes you feel better and more relaxed. It has been proven that the clutter in our homes also clutters our mind. We think it’s important to spread the awareness of the importance of having a nice and clean living space.

How to apply:

Make sure you read the requirements carefully.

Children between the ages of 16-26 whose veteran parent was killed in action or died as a result of their wounds incurred in battle, qualify for a full tuition waiver at any state funded post-secondary school. A $150 stipend, per semester, will be issued to help with books or fees.

Criteria

  • Must be a continuing or re-admitted NMSU-A student with a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA and must have earned 12 or more NMSU credits (must not have earned 70 or more credits including transfer credits)
  • Must enroll in a minimum of 6 credits or more at the NMSU-A campus
  • Must be a New Mexico resident

Second Semester Renewal Policy

  • Must maintain a 2.5 cumulative GPA
  • Must enroll in a minimum of 6 or more NMSU-A credits

Re-application Policy
Students may re-apply for the following year provided that they have maintained a minimum 2.5 cumulative NMSU GPA and have not earned 70 or more credits including transfer credits.

The Grace UMC Endowment Foundation is pleased to announce the availability of applications for the Tharp Educational, Kiel Bonnell, Dr. Joe & Zoe Emanuel, and J.E.T. Scholarships. Scholarships are open to qualifying graduating high school seniors and current full-time college students in Otero County.

Applications are available on the church website, (site address on front page) from menu under “Ministries & Missions” select “Scholarships.”

Criteria:

  • Must be enrolled as an NMSU-Alamogordo degree-seeking student
  • Must be at least part-time
  • Must demonstrate financial need as determined by official FAFSA results
  • Must be a United States citizen
  • Must have earned a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5
  • Recipient must be able to attend the awarding event
  • Recipient must volunteer for the event scheduled for December 2017
  • Must write an essay of not more than 500 words regarding applicant’s educational goals.
