New Student Orientation

Posted May 18, 2009 by admin

If you are attending NMSU-A for the first time, you are required to attend a New Student Orientation. Orientations are held in spring and fall. If your first college experience with NMSU-A is during the summer session(s), please plan to attend one of the two fall New Student Orientation Sessions. Location, dates and times are posted below. Please note that parents are encouraged to attend.

How Will It Help? It will make the transition to college more comfortable because you will know what to expect. You will also learn how to be successful at NMSU-A, and you will have the opportunity to meet staff, faculty and other new students.

What Will Be Covered? You will learn about services, academic expectations, strategies for success, and take a campus tour. Bring your schedule to locate your classes. Optional one hour workshops in time management and online/Blackboard training will be offered during the last hour of the New Student Orientation.

Students enrolling for the first time, in the summer or fall, please arrange to attend one of the following sessions:

Location: Rohovec Fine Arts Center

Thursday, August 6, 2009 From 1pm-5pm

OR

Tuesday, August 18, 2009 From 9am-1pm
