New Student Orientation
Who Should Attend? If you are a newly admitted student attending NMSU Alamogordo for the first time, and if you are enrolling for the summer or fall semester, you are expected to attend the orientation. Parents are welcome and encouraged to attend!
How Will It Help? Being a part of the orientation will make the transition to college more comfortable, and it will provide a foundation for your success because you will be better informed and prepared. You will also have an opportunity to meet other new students and hear from faculty and staff.
What Will Be Covered? You will learn about services, resources, academic expectations, stretegies for success, and available student organizations. You will also take a tour of the campus. Bring your schedule to locate your classes.
Fall 2010 Semester
New students enrolling for the Fall 2010 semester, please arrange to attend one of the following sessions. Please arrive 10-15 minutes before the indicated start time for sign-in and seating.
WHEN: Thursday, August 12, 2010 from 1pm- 5pm OR
Tuesday, August 17, 2010 from 9am- 1pm
(Optional workshops will be offered the last hour of the New Student Orientation)
