Two Week Spring Break, Beginning March 16

SUBJECT: NMSU announces two-week spring break for students, beginning Monday, March 16

New Mexico State University is implementing a system-wide, two-week spring break for students, beginning Monday, March 16. While coursework will not be held during these two weeks, it’s important to note that the university will remain open. On-campus housing will remain open. NMSU’s Health and Wellness Center, Corbett Center, Dining Services, Police, Fire and all other support services will remain open during this time. NMSU is in continuous communication with regional government and educational partners in response to the escalating circumstances surrounding Coronavirus (COVID-19). Additional information for students, faculty and staff will be disseminated by the end of today.

Our Mission

The NMSU-Alamogordo Office of Student Financial Aid and Scholarship supports the University’s mission by providing access and assisting with the elimination of financial barriers for students pursuing higher education. All eligible students have an equal opportunity to financial assistance through federal, state, institutional, and private sources regardless of sex, color, age, or other circumstance.

Our Philosophy

The philosophy of the Office of Student Financial Aid and Scholarship Services is that no student should be denied a college education due to lack of financial resources.

Goals:

  • Provide quality customer service, accurate and understandable information.
  • Process aid efficiently and in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Provide precise and clear consumer information regarding financial aid.
  • Maximize sources of governmental, institutional, and private funding for students.
  • Work cooperatively and communicate effectively with other NMSU-A offices and the community in meeting the goals of the institution.

Terms and Conditions

The University of Financial Aid and Scholarship Services office will communicate with you regarding changes to your aid, including the terms and conditions, through your NMSU email account and your MyNMSU account. It is important to monitor both accounts regularly.
